Can Japanese games play on an American playstation 2?

I can’t even get the dvd’s I bought in Europe to work on my american dvd player so I wouldn’t be too hopeful. Good luck though.

For this to work you’ll have to mod your Playstation 2 to play the games. The Japanese format is different from the American format. Like DVD’s we are Region 1 DVD’s and Japanese is Region 2. I would like to get the Bleach games myself but it would be to much of a hassle to get a mod game but if you look into it and search the net im sure you’ll find something
